United Heavy Machinery Plants increased the production of medical oxygen fourfold

03.12.2020

In November, PJSC OMZ increased the production of medical oxygen in Polevskoy city (Sverdlovsk Region) from 250 to more than 1,000 tons per month. One of the eight on-site projects of PJSC Cryogenmash (member of OMZ Group) is located here. The increase in production is caused by increased demand for the product in the region. The company is ready to increase the production of medical oxygen to 9,000 tons per month at five facilities and to organize its supply to the regions after receiving the relevant approvals of the Ministry of Health.

Medical oxygen from the production site in Polevskoy city is now supplied to hospitals and companies of 8 regions at once - these are Sverdlovsk, Kurgan, Tyumen, Orenburg, Kirov, Chelyabinsk Regions, the Republic of Bashkortostan and Perm Territory. The company received license for production of the product here in 2012. In addition to the Sverdlovsk Region, Cryogenmash is ready to start supplying medical oxygen from its sites near St. Petersburg, Tula, Tomsk and Taganrog. Own production and means of gas transportation will allow supplying the produced oxygen to the cities of five federal districts.

“The experience of the Sverdlovsk Region shows that the scheme we have proposed is efficient. We are ready to provide oxygen to several nearby regions from one large production site. We have all the necessary equipment and transport. The Ministry of Industry and Trade in record time issued us the licenses for the medical oxygen production at sites near St. Petersburg, Tula, Tomsk and Taganrog. The oxygen producing there already meets the requirements for a medical product. The matter of starting supplies from these sites is only a matter of completion of the medical product registration procedure in the Ministry of Health,” said Yevgenii Kislitsyn, General Director of PJSC OMZ.
