Project on Air Separation Unit Renovation Realized at PJSC “Nizhnekamskneftekhim”

At PJSC “Nizhnekamskneftekhim”, the plant producing divinyl and hydrocarbon material, in the nitrogen, compressed air and oxygen recovery shop, after large-scale renovation completion, a first air separation unit was put into operation.

In the process of renovation all equipment of the unit including pipelines and pumps was replaced; pneumatic control system gave place to a modern automatic process control system “Siemens”; control room shelter was overhauled. The “cold” box piping is considerably changed with a complete removal of regenerators. Besides, new schemes of cooling air before its feeding to the box are introduced using freon refrigerating machines “Bitzer” what has provided for better air cooling-down and, consequently, for improving separation process. In addition, an air front-end purification unit has been constructed.

The renovation carried out has allowed not only to increase nitrogen performance of the plant, but also to considerably enhance its operation reliability and safety. The plant modernization works were performed by the domestic company JSC “Cryogenmash”  – informs the Press Service of PJSC “Nizhnekamskneftekhim”.
