07.08.2019

PJSC "Cryogenmash" has supplied the main recuperative multiple-section coil wound heat exchanger, the cryogenic heart of the "Natural Gas Liquefaction Complex of capacity of up to 1 million tons of LNG per year in Sabetta settlement" - the fourth line of the Yamal LNG plant.

The huge structure (equipment 2.5 m in diameter, more than 37 m high, weighing more than 180 tons) was transported by railway to Arkhangelsk, then by sea to Sabetta.

The first three Yamal LNG lines have already been put into operation and liquefy natural gas. The fourth one is being built using Russian technology known as the "Arctic Cascade" and will allow to liquefy gas more easily and cheaper, using the main feature of these places - the cold. The capacity of the fourth line will be five times less than that of each of the previous ones, however, this is really an advance in the gas industry and a new offer on the world market.
