JSC “Cryogenmash” and OOO “Gazprom Helium Service” start the cooperation in production of ISO-containers for transportation of liquid helium

Agreement between the companies has been signed during the XII Saint-Petersburg International Gas Forum.
The purpose of cooperation is the arrangement of the large-scale production of containers for the liquid helium transportation, complying with requirements of OOO “Gazprom Helium Service”.
It is planned that Cryogenmash will manufacture the first sample of a container that will provide conditions for the transportation and temporary storage of commercial helium at the temperature of -269ºС. The sample will be tested under the terms of real operation.
From its part, Gazprom Helium Service will work out logistics routes for supply of commercial helium produced by the Amur Gas Processing Plant to the buyers. It will also ensure the preparation of containers for loading cryogenic products at the Logistics Center for Service of Helium Containers of “Gazprom”.

Equipment for liquid helium is one of the most complex and knowledge intensive types of cryogenic products. It is required the use of specific materials and production technologies, experience of working with extra-low temperatures. Only several countries in the world obtain such knowledges – and Russia is one of these countries.
