Cryogenic technologies of PJSC Cryogenmash in the area of liquefied natural gas and hydrogen production, storage and transportation were provided by OMZ Group at the international exhibition INNOPROM 2021 opened on 5th of July in Yekaterinburg.
Liquid hydrogen storage and transportation require for special conditions, technologies and materials. At the exhibition, Cryogenmash presents a model of horizontal cryogenic tank РЦГВ -250 with capacity of 246 m3 for liquid hydrogen storage. The mass of liquid hydrogen stored is at least 15,700 kilograms, the operating temperature is minus 259 0C, and the operating pressure is 1 MPa. The tank is a double-walled cylindrical apparatus consisting of vessel and jacket. The vessel containing liquid hydrogen is made of stainless steel. To exclude heat flows to the product, multilayer screen-vacuum insulation is applied on top of the vessel, evaporation losses are less than 0.3% per day. The length of the tank is 36.3 meters, the dimensions allow transporting the finished and works-tested item to the customer's site by road and rail.
