MMK put into operation a new air separation plant manufactured by PJSC "Cryogenmash"

17.07.2018 The capacity of the new Air Separation Plant is 35,000 cubic meters of commercial-grade oxygen and 30,000 cubic meters of pure nitrogen, as well as about 1,000 cubic meters of argon per hour. The need to increase the capacity for the production of air separation products arose in connection with the development of PJSC "MMK" facilities. The plant will not only cover the production needs in the air separation products, but also will deliver them immediately under pressure, with no use of additional oxygen or nitrogen compressors. This will save about 10 megawatts of electricity per hour. In percentage terms the savings will be 10% compared to the available units. The equipment was developed and produced by PJSC "Cryogenmash" located near Moscow. The Plant comprises the recent developments in cryogenic engineering.
