“Gazprom” and “Cryogenmash”: realization of LNG projects in Russia regions

“Gazprom” offers to gasify Far East on account of LNG, with decreasing prices on this one. During the conference, named “Sakhalin Oil and Gas 2015”, Deputy Manager of Project Control Department, Chief of Bureau of East Projects Department, Viktor Timoshilov said: “We couldn’t continue the region gasification in the same old way; we need a maximum cost-saving on account of using new technologies”.
According to him, “Gazprom” intends to work with cryogenic equipment producers, in particular with “Cryogenmash”. “The main aim here is to create clear pricing conditions on this product. LNG should be classified as the high-added value product. The price on it, probably, shouldn’t be regulated.” – he said, added, that this deprive the projects their commercial success.
“If the devices are developed, the amount of such projects will increase extremely”, Timoshilov noted.
According to him, it is possible to create in the Far East LNG supply network on the base of present projects – LNG-project at Sakhalin (“Sakhalin - 2”), GPP of Amur or producing of low-tonnage LNG, based on compressor plants.
